March 2018 Newsletter
Happy Spring Everyone!
It always gives me great pleasure to say Happy Spring!
As we all know, winters are long and usually harsh in Maine, but Mainers are tough and most of us would not trade winter for the big city, ever! If you have ever lived in a big city, or lived in a highly populated state and had to travel to and from a big city, you will understand completely what I am saying here.
So, while at the same time we are wishing winter away, let's be thankful that we are at least experiencing it in Maine and not Massachusetts or New Jersey.
We are now holding church services in the Etna Town Hall beginning February 4th. The town hall is located at 17 Shadow Lane in Etna. Church services start at 10:30 AM.
Sunday, March 4th, is Pot Luck Sunday. Since we are in the town hall we think it is best to keep things simple. Sandwiches, veggies, fruit, cheese, dessert, or something along those lines would be good. Come enjoy church service then stay after for a bite to eat and good conversation with like-minded folks. All are welcome!
As everyone knows, we have had many days this winter of extremely cold temperatures. Even though we are holding services at the town hall, which has a good heating system, we are still inclined to cancel church if temps dip below 10 degrees. If you are unsure of whether or not a service has been canceled due to very cold temperatures you can check on FB, or check your email. If a service has been canceled these are the two places where you will definitely receive notification. Alternately, you can call or email me, Rev. Janet Decker. My contact info is at the end of the newsletter. If we are canceling due to snow I will post this on WLBZ 2 and WABI local news as well.
Please keep in mind that if church service is canceled then so is the Sunday afternoon mediumship development circle.
